This is the English summary of my memoir.
1) Initial training course – Esparron :
We started the academic year on a training course in Esparron, a lake with a burned forest next to Cadarache. We were supposed to do an individual/small group work and a huge collective (full class) work.
For the small work, Jane and me made pictures of the exact same view every hour with three different techniques in order to see how light and color changes with the sun position and to compare the techniques. For this we used a reflex camera with a black and white film, a reflex digital camera and a Polaroid camera.
Besides this little project with Jane, I have made a little experience with a pinhole camera. I took two photos of a tree that I liked very much.
The collective work was to build a square, that didn’t interested me so much, so, I discovered that a parallel group of students were working on a terrace (next to my beloved tree). So I started to work with theme. We have linked the square with the terrace with paths.
2) Drawing
After a long period without a teacher, we had some drawing classes. We had to draw simple things, like a piece of clothe, in my case my jacket, a nude model, imaginary columns, etc. The objective in drawing classes was to free our
3) Photo/Web
In photo we’ve learnt how to develop and treat photography’s. We saw things like exposition time, contrast, resolution, etc.
In web we saw how the global computer network was build and how does it works. We also saw how the school site works and how to use it. Finally, we have learnt about the existence of free and open contents.
4) Video/Sound
In video and sound classes we have seen how to use the main video and sound software’s : Final Cut and Pro Tools. We did some recording and mixing. It was fun. We divided the class in groups of 4. I was with Julie, Rebecca and Candie.
5) Computer graphics/3D
In computer graphics class we have seen the basic tools of Photoshop, and how to build a simple website with photos and Dreamwaver. In 3D class we had a short introduction to 3D Studio Max. We have seen that we could create three dimensional environments and that we can animate them. Finally, we have seen that it is possible to render the animation in a movie file.
6) Volume
In volume we had three different stages with the porous to learn moulding tecnics. The first stage was an introduction to plaster molding. Then we had to make, with a special guest called SCOCCIMARO, a work with sign language with the topic “insult”. We made a bench with hands on it saying “in your ass”. Then, in the third stage, we had to make a mold of our own face. That wasn’t cool, I freak out and I didn’t feel well. With this mold we had to make a mask made out of latex. Then we had to make a work with the mask. In my work I talked about smothering.
7) Screen print/Engraving
In screen print class we had to choose an image in order to print it on different types of paper with different colours. In engraving, we had learnt how to engrave on Plexiglas and linoleum. We had to choose some drawings from Esparron to use theme as a reference for the engraving process.
8) Sound/Space/Network
In this workshop, we had to make a reflexion about sound, space and network. Once the reflexion was done, we had to record/generate sounds and treat them. I worked on the postal network ; I tried to record the sound of a package’s journey. Another work I did was to record the sounds in public transportation networks. In both works I tried to build a space thanks to the use of sounds.
9) Painting
This was the most tuff class for me. I just couldn’t liberate myself from my fear to do something wrong. We had worked around a Poussin’s painting. We had to copy it. Then we were suppose to use it as a base to build another painting with a landscape, a character and a building. Finally, we had lessons about colour and we had to paint 9cm² of the original painting with primary colours and to make the negative of our painting. We could do something personal too if we had enough time.
10) && if I run Processing ?
I discovered processing a little before the Eniarof exhibition. I felled in love for it and started to learn on my own initiative how to use it.

Finally we had to do a summary of our memoir in English, which is this document.
