I knew, by studying in an Art School, and espacially here, in Aix-en-Provence, which is specifically turned around new technologies, that I would learn a lot of things. First, in new technologies, as I told, that I’ve never studied before, and that was new for me. Especially video, sound and 3D. And I just began to learn it, for example video, I began to shoot some elements, some things that could be interesting, by itself, or its color, or even its symbolical signification. Then I had to do something about it just easily, to introduce video to me. In sound, that’s the same, but thanks to the sound-space-network workshop, I could learn it deeply, and my knowledge about sound is better than video. In 3D, that’s not the same. I just could, by a half-part of a day, touch by the finger the very basement of it. For the other workshops, that was different. Last year I’ve done and learned a lot of things. Of course, we can always discover something new in every workshop, everytime we spend on it. But, technically, I already knew some workshops. I almost think about photography, or etching. But I learned something else about them : even if I know the technical side of it, the work we produce with it is always different, better, you correct something and ameliorate other things. So, you can always learn something else. That was confirmed with drawing or painting, in which you always learn, by working it, you always discover something new, and that makes you becoming better, and makes you change your point of view and evoluate. So, the important thing is that I’ve learned, all long the year, new things, new works, new interesting workshops I’ve never met before. And that’s a work on your own personnality too, because you have to work with twenty-six other people, in the volume workshop for example, or, often, with four or five persons in a project, and you have to listen, to communicate your ideas, to do something that everyone would agree, and that’s not an easy thing to do. I’ve always worked by myself, and suddenly, Ihave to share my ideas with different persons, to accept theirs, and try to create something with it that will be interesting, and that would please everyone. That’s a real work. But that’s not bad, it drives you to change, to open your mind to the world, and makes you escape from your own mind. This year was good for me, i learned a lot of new things and that’s why i wanted to come in the art school.
